However, its preservation faces serious challenges, including environmental degradation, land-use conversion, weak regulations, and limited public awareness of ancestral heritage. In the modern era, conservation efforts should not only focus on physical maintenance but also integrate digital technology as a strategic approach. Digitization through three-dimensional mapping, virtual reconstruction, online archives, and dissemination via digital media can expand public access and awareness. Such strategies not only safeguard the authenticity of the site but also promote it globally as an educational and cultural resource. Technology-based conservation requires synergy among government, academics, local communities, and the wider society to ensure the sustainability of its historical values for future generations.</p> Susi Harnisa, Tama Maysuri, Siti Musa'adah, Rendy Wahyu Satrio Putro Copyright (c) 2025 Susi Harnisa, Tama Maysuri, Siti Musa'adah, Rendy Wahyu Satrio Putro https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://ejurnal.fis.ung.ac.id/index.php/kjarm/article/view/405 Sun, 16 Nov 2025 00:00:00 +0000 ZONING EVALUATION IN THE KARST CAMPURDARAT OF TULUNGAGUNG DISTRICT https://ejurnal.fis.ung.ac.id/index.php/kjarm/article/view/277 <p>Zoning is an important part of preservation, but sometimes the process is not in accordance with Undang-undang No. 11 Tahun 2010 on Culture Heritage. The research aims to analyze how the mosque built in 1604 and representing early Islamic development in Luwu, can serve as a primary learning resource within contextual and site-based educational approaches. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were gathered through field observations, interviews with educators and cultural practitioners, and analysis of historical and archaeological documents. The findings indicate that although the mosque possesses extraordinary historical, architectural, and pedagogical value, its educational utilization remains limited due to insufficient teaching materials, lack of teacher training, and weak institutional collabration. Nevertheless, direct engagement with the site significantly enhances students’ historical thinking, interpretation of artifacts, and appreciation of cultural continuity. The study concludes that integrating archaeological heritage into local history curricula can revitalize Islamic traces in Luwu while promoting culturally grounded, inquiry-based learning</p> Fitra Widya Wati Copyright (c) 2025 Fitra Widya Wati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://ejurnal.fis.ung.ac.id/index.php/kjarm/article/view/470 Mon, 08 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000
